"Climate change is one of the biggest threats to our planet and our way of life. A staggering 47% of Britain's greenhouse gas emissions and 50% of Britain's energy consumption comes from buildings. In this event we explore the role of design in creating more energy efficient buildings and combating climate change. From the laboratory right through to the architects we explore how we can make our buildings greener by design and discover some beautiful architecture along the way. And there is no more fitting place to hold the event than the newly re-designed Royal Institution."
