Green and Yellow Festival 2011 November 5, 2011

The Friends of Ruwenzori is hosting "The Birth of a Hospital: Saving Lives & Restoring Hope" at their annual Green and Yellow Festival. This charity recently opened a hospital in very rural Kitojo Uganda that will serve over 200,000 people who have never before had a chance to see a doctor. At the Festival will be an opportunity to bid on many hand made silent auction items and participate in a Fund a need for the hospital live auction. Raffle tickets will be on sale for an Apple iPad 2, a Magic Bullet Express smoothie maker and a Gift card to a leading Moraga restaurant.

A live band will be on hand to serenade guests prior to and after a delicious sit down meal. Gil Gleason will provide strolling violin music during dinner. Special guest Jennifer Gleason, who was in Kitojo last summer, will share her experiences and show a video made during her trip.
