June 28 Tale of Two Cities (1935)
Charles Dickens grand tale of love and heroic sacrifice during the French Revolution is well-served in this rousing film from producer David O. Selznick. Ronald Colman plays the dissolute but noble Sydney Carton and Blanche Yurka is memorably menacing as the vengeful Madame Defarge.
