Graphic Novel Cabaret
Featuring Kalman Andrasofszky, Chris Butcher, stef lenk, Ramón Pérez, and Chip Zdarsky
Saturday, September 30th, 10PM - 11PM
Toronto Reference Library, 789 Yonge St.

The City of Toronto's first-ever Nuit Blanche event is this weekend. The idea is that the whole city stays up all night, taking part in arts-related events. As part of the Toronto Reference Library's massive set of programming, The Beguiling will be presenting a 'graphic novel cabaret'. Three acts are on the bill, including stef lenk talking about her book 'Carnival', Chip Zdarsky ('Prison Funnies', 'Comic Strip') will be interviewed by Peter Birkemoe about how to be an international superstar, and Kalman, Ramon, and myself (Butcher) will give a presentation about how our Belle & Sebastian-inspired story came together for the recent anthology 'Put The Book Back On The Shelf'. It should be a lot of fun... I think it's all about comic creation actually, so if you're an aspiring creator or you just like music, that'll be fine too. Worth staying up late for, anyhow.
