Grant Park Music Festival: Bernstein on the Waterfront June 12, 2009

Celebrate the Grant Park Music Festival’s 75th season with more than 30 concerts featuring the Grant Park Orchestra and Chorus, led by Principal Conductor Carlos Kalmar, Chorus Director Christopher Bell, along with dozens of internationally acclaimed guests.

 

 

 

Bernstein’s celebration of urban waterfronts is paired with Shostakovich’s monumental hymn to

Russian forests in a tour-de-force of music evoking nature.
