Celebrate the launch of Grandmother Power, the new book by Paola Gianturco. A new, unheralded global grandmothers movement is changing the world: activist grandmothers are using their power to fight for peace, justice, human rights and a better world for grandchildren everywhere. This book includes 120 grandmothers’ stories in 15 countries on five continents. One hundred percent of the author’s royalties from Grandmother Power: A Global Phenomenon go to the Canadian Stephen Lewis Foundation’s Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign, which supports grandmothers in African countries who are caring for children orphaned by AIDS. This event is co-hosted by the Michelle R. Clayman Institute for Gender Research, the Stanford Center for Longevity and the Bechtel International Center.
