Goodwill Opens New Sanford Store With A Weekend Event For The Whole Family September 15, 2012

Join Goodwill as they celebrate the opening of the newest retail store in Sanford. During this free event, attendees can watch magicians perform and enjoy face painting and balloons. There will also be refreshments and raffles throughout the day.
Attendees are encouraged to bring donations gently used of clothing and household items throughout the weekend. For every 24 pounds of donations Goodwill receives, one person with a disability or other barrier to employment, gains access to programs and services that help them secure a permanent job and become self-sufficient. In 2012, 16,740 Central Floridians used services offered at Goodwill’s Job Connection Centers – and of those, nearly 3,000 are now working.
