Santa Monica Farmers Market celebrates its 30th Anniversary with the very first Good Food Festival & Conference September 14th-18th

The Santa Monica Farmers Market is celebrating its 30th anniversary by partnering with FamilyFarmed.org to launch the GOOD FOOD Festival & Conference. This unprecedented multi-day festival showcases locally and sustainably produced food and innovative leaders from the good food movement. It will focus on regional and national issues integral to building local food systems, supporting California family farms, and educating people and families about the benefits of good food. Participants include some of the nation and region's most distinguished farmers, chefs, artisan food producers, thinkers, and food entrepreneurs. The event consists of five days of speaker panels, chef demos, exhibitor trade and consumer shows, food policy summit, and film screening, plus a “Localicious Gala” party at the Annenberg Community Beach House on the ocean.

The Good Food Festival Street Fair will take place Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 17 & 18 from 10am-7pm at Santa Monica High School. Tickets are $10 and include “Chefs at Play,” “Good Food For Thought" Speaker Series, and “Grow Your Own” workshops and are available by going to http://goodfoodfestivals.eventbrite.com/.
