This SAT at 10 AM we have our regular GG P Oak Woodland Restoration Project volunteer workparty scheduled at 10 AM, meeting in front of the Conservatory of Flowers.

The RPD' s Natural Areas Program GG P Oak Woodlands project has, by means of determined advocacy and 'boots on the ground' volunteer work succeeded in clearing lots of invasive brush, restoring trails, planting native shrubs and trees, removing trash and suppressing vagrant camping and loitering. The restoration and advocacy efforts in this northeastern zone of GG P are, in my view, a model for Park improvement and we look forward to any help we can get from neighbors, Park advocates, and anybody who likes to do eco-restoration hands on work.

So, yes , if you feel that some of your friends and neighbors would like to see what can be done in this regard , please send them along my invitation to join us this SAT at 10 AM. We will be led by, among others, Tom Annese, a Natural Areas staff gardener who also leader of local California Native Plants Society chapter.
