Featuring Sheila Chandra, Jai Uttal, Michael Bernard Beckwith, Founder and Spiritual Director of Agape Int’l, Yoga Trance Dance ignited by Shiva Rea, featuring DJ Cheb I Sabbah spinning with LA master drummers!

Los Angeles will serve as the epicenter of the worldwide Global Mala event.Join us for this historic gathering of 108 yoga studios, 1,008 teachers, and 10,000 people for a 12 hour ritual festivalfor PEACE! raising funds for worldwide issues, including Global Warming, AIDS, and Children Refugees of War.

The 12 hour ritual festival includes:

* Kirtan and chanting with Donna De Lory, Wah!, Girish, Saul David Raye, Suzanne Sterling, Steve Ross, Sreemati, Sean Johnson & The Wild Lotus Band, Govindas and Radha, Joey Lugassy, Daphne Tse and more!
* Activist, Healing, Kids and Higher Consciousness Tents

* A city-block long screen that will project inspiring images of universal spiritual culture from Palm Pictures World Voices project with National Geographic.
* An interactive 54 Foot Peace Altar that will include an Intention Wall where people will write their personal intentions of how they live the theme of "RISE! Yoga as Peace in Action"
* A mandala (circular stage) that will fit some 3,000 people in the round for the 12-hour activities
* Silent Auction for the Global Mala Seva Project, including classes, retreats, teacher trainings, products, massages and more!

All proceeds from the Global Mala Project will go to benefiting organizations dedicated to raising awareness for Global Warming, AIDS, and Children Refugees of War, specific organizations include Trees for the Future, YouthAIDS, Circle of Life, War Child and The Global Fund.
