YPIC Global FestivalMay 20th, 2006The United Nations Association of New York's Young Professionals for International Cooperation proudly presents its inaugural GLOBAL FESTIVAL.Please join us on May 20th at Lighthouse International to celebrate the many cultures around the world that are combating HIV/AIDS pandemics, while raising awareness and funds to help fight this disease. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the HERO campaign, which helps strengthen African schools to provide quality education and to meet the basic needs of HIV/AIDS-affected children. HERO strives to better the lives of these children by providing comprehensive, holistic school-based support. They provide health and nutrition, infrastructure, water and sanitation, crisis support, capacity building, psycho-social support, and school resources.In today's increasingly globalized world, it is imperative for all nations to work together in the fight to eradicate HIV/AIDS.
