Seattle, WA – Live Nation welcomes Glen Phillips to Chop Suey on Sunday, February 11, 2007 at 8 p.m.
Fresh off a six-month European sabbatical filled with impromptu performances across the continent, singer-songwriter Glen Phillips returns to the U.S. concert stage.

In 2006, Phillips returned to independence with the release of Mr. Lemons on Umami Records/bigHelium (distributed through Highwire / Fontana). A unique blend of folk-pop, the disc has been lauded as, “...one of the best pieces of music I have heard in years" by Frets Magazine editor, Andy Ellis.

A stark contrast to its predecessor Winter Pays For Summer (2005), the Chicago Sun-Times notes, “With a stripped-back sound, [Mr. Lemons] captures the essence of Phillips's solo acoustic performances.” Recorded in Nashville, Mr. Lemons features songwriting collaborations with producer Neilson Hubbard and vocal contributions from Kim Richey and Garrison Starr.

Phillips gets intimate on the eleven tracks discussing personal loss (“Marigolds”), the joy of his life (“Everything But You”), and helping a loved one struggle with their demons (“A Joyful Noise”). Another highlight is Phillips infectious reinvention of the Huey Lewis hit “I Want A New Drug.” Harp Magazine raves, "Mr. Lemons is by turns languid and life-affirming and may well stand as Phillips’ most affecting and powerful solo work to date.”

Tickets are $20.00 and go on sale Saturday, January 12 at 10:00 a.m. at all Ticketmaster outlets, Ticketmaster.com or hob.com, or charge by phone (206) 628-0888. All tickets subject to applicable service charges and fees. Dates and times subject to change without notice.
