Gleaner Insurance Presents Free Screening of Polar Express December 4, 2010

Celebrate Christmas early this year and hop on board the Polar Express as it passes through Classic Cinemas Paramount Theatre. Join Gleaner Insurance as they present a FREE holiday showing of the famed bedtime story, The Polar Express, on Saturday, December 4, beginning at 10 a.m. In addition to the free movie, Gleaner will be giving away a free bicycle, DVD player, camcorder, Razor scooter, Digital camera, gift certificates from 4 local restaurants, certificate from fitness center, and other great items! The Paramount Theatre is located at 213 N. Schuyler Ave in downtown Kankakee.

Based on the children’s book by Chris Van Allsburg, Polar Express tells the story of a boy who maintains his belief in Santa Claus despite the teasing of his more cynical friends. The boy's conviction is rewarded one Christmas Eve when a steam train, guided by the conductor Tom Hanks, appears in front of his house and carries him and his disbelieving friends off to the North Pole.
