Open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays

The Garden Gallery's Summer Exhibition 2008 will include a special focus on Glass for the Garden.

New work by regular gallery artists will also be on show. Those exhibiting at The Garden Gallery for the first time this year include Penelope Batley with her very distinctive and original garden vessels, Martin Cook with his individually designed tables and benches in stone and wood, exquisitely inscribed with verse, and Nicola Henshaw, whose sculpture and furniture, carved from European hardwoods, is inspired by myths and fables. Johannes von Stumm's sculpture challenges conventional thinking as it combines tough materials - bronze, stone and glass - to achieve a sense of strength, poise and harmony. Peter Eugene Ball is also new to the gallery - the apparent simplicity of his serene sculptures belies the richness of their inspiration by ancient and medieval art.
