Brooklyn's GIRLYMAN is a trio who delivers a high-energy and often humorous blend of urban folk, pop and bluegrass with soaring 3-part harmonies. Doris Muramatsu, Ty Greenstein and Nate Borofsky are all classically trained. They trade off songwriting duties and instruments, which include guitars, banjo, djembe, and mandolin. Critics have likened their sound to something like Nickel Creek meets the B52s, or a modern day Peter, Paul and Mary. After releasing their first two CDs with Daemon Records, they're currently touring in support of their live release "Somewhere Different Now."
