Girls on the Run Benefit Dinner with "UltraMarathon Man" Dean Karnazes November 12, 2008

Please join us for a cocktail reception and dinner at Campton Place on Wednesday, November 12th, 2008, at 7pm. The event speaker is Dean Karnazes, the "UltraMarathon Man" and Girls on the Run of the Bay Area Board member. Dean has completed 50 marathons in 50 days in 50 states and run 350 miles continuously. He also has a personal connection to our program as his daughter was a participant in the spring of 2005. In 2007, Dean was named one of the top 100 influential people by TIME magazine. Dean's movie "Ultramarathon Man" premiered on July 31st of this year. His new book 50/50 was released August 17th. Proceeds from the Dinner support Girls on the Run of the Bay Area. Girls on the Run is devoted to educating and preparing girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living through curriculum-based running programs. To date, 2,223 Bay Area girls have participated since the chapter was founded in 2002. All guests will receive a personally signed copy of Dean's new book 50/50.
