The next Sydney dinner will be hosted by our friends at Yahoo!7 at their fabulous office in Walsh Bay on the 12th of June. As requested, we have technical talks, networking activities, drinks and food. RSVP by email to me (see details at bottom of this page) by the 31st of May to get your name on this very hot list.

Speakers
Claudia Jayne Mikaelian and Pratibha Gannavarapu from Yahoo will be introducing you to Yahoo!7 Maps, Search and flickr api's and also the Yahoo! user interface library(YUI).

Sara Falamaki, a brilliant software engineer and life long member of GGD Sydney will give a talk titled Happy Programmers for Happy Code.

"Programmers want to be able to write code, write it quickly and write it efficiently. To do this, we need appropriate tools and infrastructure in place. In this talk I will outline some of the tools every programming shop should have: version control, build system, wiki, bug tracking system, nightly builds and testing framework. I'll also talk about the importance of testing, different types of test, and how to incorporate tests into your codebase and build system. Finally I'll open the floor for a group discussion about what tools have helped you and your organisation."
