Ginger Baker is recognised as ‘one of Britain’s great drummers’ (Melody Maker) and was one third of 60s super-group Cream (with Jack Bruce and Eric Clapton). He went on to make a groundbreaking record with Fela Kuti and toured with The Who, The Troggs, The Moody Blues and Chuck Berry, he was known for his outrageous behaviour and riotous fun, at the time, and was once talked about as ‘the musician least likely to survive the 60s’.

Now he’s back with a new and remarkable project. Ginger Baker’s Jazz Confusion, starring Pee Wee Ellis on sax, Alec Dankworth on bass and Abass Dodoo on percussion, made its 2012 debut at Ronnie Scott’s Club. Their show sold out four times bringing the crowd a powerful fusion of Jazz and African rhythms.
