International Readings at Harbourfront presents Geraldine Brooks, People of the Book; Julie Buxbaum, The Opposite of Love; and Steve Toltz, A Fraction of the Whole. Siri Agrell hosts.

Geraldine Brooks (Australia/U.S.A.) is the author of March, which was awarded the 2006 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction. She is also the author of the novel A Year of Wonders, and of the non-fiction works Nine Parts of Desire and Foreign Correspondence.

Julie Buxbaum is a 29-year-old former attorney and graduate of Harvard Law School. She lives in Los Angeles. She presents her debut novel, The Opposite of Love, about a successful attorney who abruptly ends her happy relationship as her boyfriend is on the verge of proposing, but can't explain why.

Steve Toltz was born in Sydney and has lived in Montreal, Vancouver, New York, Barcelona, and Paris. He has worked as a cameraman, telemarketer, security guard, private investigator, English teacher, and screenwriter.
