Quebec-born installation artist George Trakas is widely acclaimed for his projects in North America and Western Europe. He uses recycled local materials to create public artworks in response to particular landscape sites. Along the shoreline of the Hudson River at Dia:Beacon, Trakas created a permanent waterfront artwork and public park called Beacon Point. On September 26, he will discuss his work on-site as part of Dia’s monthly gallery talks.
