Maureen Decombe has designed and maintained edible landscapes for over twenty years. Join her for an informal, informative talk and walk to visit some of her local edible gardens. The different gardens will show the design and development process as each has been established at different times and maintained differently.

Maureen Decombe - Prior to joining the staff of the Bay-Friendly Landscaping & Gardening Coalition, Maureen was a Landscape Designer and Licensed Landscape Contractor, specializing in Edible and Sustainable Landscapes. Maureen is originally from the Washington, D.C. area, where she managed the Bishop's Garden and Greenhouse at the Washington National Cathedral. Her background also includes an Herb Society Fellowship at the U.S. National Arboretum, farming organic vegetables on a 20 acre farm in Maryland, and work as an Insect Technician, running experiments for biological and botanical control of nursery and landscape pests at the U.S. Department of Agriculture Lab in Beltsville, Maryland.
