Gambit on B2B in 5 years perspective (or not?)

19th Oct 2009

The credit crunch/sub-prime is affecting not only the financial sectors, it has now rippled through to consumers and even the traditionally resilient gaming gambling sector (on & offline)!

At the last major GES summit in Madrid in July, a lot of changes and new strategies were discussed, one such was the employment of B2B strategy for existing remote gaming gambling operators like 888.com Holdings Plc., PartyGaming.com Plc. to deploy their platform and expertise to 'enable' household brands going forward. (of course hot on the tails of WilliamHill acquisition of part of Playtech end of 2008!)

The remote gaming gambling sector is only 15+years old, how can they align and work with major bricks & mortar (or well trusted online) brands, who typically would have 3 if not 5years business plans!? How would the remote gaming sector to 'slow' down and adapt, and address some of the key issues like:

* Brand protection/ manage reputational risks

* customer retention

* plan for 5yrs horizon
