New York’s Gallim Dance erupted onto the contemporary dance scene in 2007, and have since performed everywhere from Jacob’s Pillow to Suzanne in Tel Aviv. Gallim is led by choreographer Andrea Miller, graduate of the Juilliard School and one of Dance Magazine’s “25 to Watch,” who has danced for Ohad Naharin's Ensemble Batsheva, Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet, The Limon Dance Company, and Buglisi Dance Theater. Miller’s new piece SIT, KNEEL, STAND aims to deconstruct the border between harmony and chaos, and the story will be told in Gallim’s sharply athletic, technically virtuous style.
