Boston Debut

“Both stirring and chilling.”—New York Times

Founded in 2006 by choreographer Andrea Miller, a former Batsheva Ensemble dancer, Gallim Dance is a New York City-based company that has been called “gloriously quirky” by Dance Magazine and “Excellent . . . inventive . . . impressive” by the New York Times. The young company will perform Blush, an invigorating work dense with emotion and physical exertion. In this piece set to a collage of music ranging from Chopin to electro punk, Miller's visceral choreography investigates themes of intimacy, instability and the desire of the heart and body to feel strongly.

Free preperformance talks with dance critic Debra Cash:
30 minutes prior to both performances in the ICA lobby.
Free postperformance Q&A with the company: Friday, October 21.

Funded in part by the National Dance Project of the New England Foundation for the Arts. NDP is supported by lead funding from the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation, with additional funding from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the Community Connections Fund of the MetLife Foundation, and the Boeing Company Charitable Trust.
