Galili Dance (Groninghen/Amsterdam)
The Upper Room (2007)

Choreography: Itzik Galili “It is OK to be one of a whole but it is damned hard to be whole as a one. A story from the inside trying to find its way to the outside.”

Galili Dance (Groninghen/Amsterdam)
six (2007)

(premièred November 2007)
Music: Steve Reich – Six Marimbas Itzik Galili: ‘Five dancers navigate in space limited by five travelling boards. For me this work starts exactly in the middle of the score and therefore repeats itself twice. It is for the viewer to choose which perspective of the work is front and which is back’. Through an everchanging modernist architectural landscape bursts human energy, warmth and earthy passion. The dancers move incessantly, playing with form, structure and time. A visually beautiful work to mesmerize and carry you far away’.

Fragile (1997)

Choreography: Itzik Galili “Fragile” is an ode to the dancer - an intimate duet in which the woman exposes strength through her vulnerability in endeavouring to persuade her male partner to overcome his fears.
“A powerful, poignant exploration of strengths and fears…. the communication of emotions without over-dramatisation is as valuable as the clean-limbed energy…”

Choreography: Itzik Galili
Music – Percossa Peeled is a dynamic choreography for ten dancers. Coming from a subtext/solo about the search for self confidence which was developed through improvisation and provocative manipulation by dancer Jussi Nousiainen and Itzik Galili. Musical typewriters provide and insistent atmospheric backdrop as well as a powerful lighting plan. This latter accentuates space, scenarios and perception.
“Peeled is Graceful strong and fluid”
