Galactic is a six-piece, jazz-funk ensemble hailing from New Orleans. This band from Austin, TX puts together a funky island rock sound that will make the crippled walk and the blind man see. One of rap's finest emcees, J-Live debuted in 1996 with his first single, "Longevity" b/w "Braggin' Rights". Since then he has steadily moved forward on fulfilling his lofty goal of getting better every year while also navigating the many roadblocks that the music industry throws at young artists.
