One of the visionaries of modern Brazilian music, vocalist Gal Costa's recordings helped launch Brazil's Tropicália movement in the late 1960s. Her career spans four decades, dozens of solo releases and millions of records sold. Songs by composers Caetano Veloso, Antonio Carlos Jobim and others were first made famous on Costa's albums.
