With more than 2,600 acres, three lakes for boating, swimming and fishing, over 15 miles of hiking, biking and horse trails plus a variety of picnic and camping facilities, the park offers something for just about everyone. Improvements to the park over the winter include the installation of electricity at additional campsites and a new dumping facility for recreational vehicles.

Bear Creek Lake Park, located at Morrison Road and C-470, presents nearby urban residents with an opportunity to get a close-up view of nature only minutes from their front doors. Despite its close proximity to the metropolitan area, the park is home to an array of wildlife including birds of prey, coyotes, prairie dogs, fox, and deer.
