Metropolis' Family Series presents 'Frindle,' based on the book by Andrew Clements. Nick Allen has great ideas, but they don't particularly make his teachers happy. During the winter of third grade he attempted to turn his classroom into a sunny island. In fourth grade, he chirped like a blackbird. Now it's fifth grade and the dictionary-fanatic-language-arts teacher doesn't put up with any funny business. All is well until Nick learns about words and where they come from, and is inspired to invent a new word: frindle. A battle of wits ensues.
