Friday Night KO Fights August 20, 2010

Walter Johnson Promotions will bring live championship boxing back to Greensboro with “Friday Night KO Fights” on Friday, August 20 at War Memorial Auditorium.

The card will feature Greensboro’s own Paul Jennette 14-3 (11 KOs) taking on former WBA World Light Heavyweight Champion Lou Del Valle 36-6 (21 KOs) in a 10-round bout for the Universal Boxing Council Crusierweight World Championship. The card will also feature heavyweight contender Jonathon Haggler 22-3 (16 KOs) of Winston Salem and Reidsville’s Jamie Winchester 12-4 (3KO’s) in separate bouts. The undercard will be filled with great talent with an international flavor. Jimmy Lange 32-4 (21 KOs), former star of NBC reality television show “The Contender,” will take on veteran Mike McFail in a middleweight special attraction. Also Cuban prospect Angelo Santana will take on Richard Hall and Puerto Rico’s Joey Hernandez will also be featured. In addition, local prospect Richard Rivers and Mickey Stackhouse will be showcased in other bouts.
