FreeNI - Occoquan Networking Lunch September 29, 2009

FreeNI was founded on a very simple concept...

Business first, networking second.

The goal was to create an environment where business people could network with each other in an organized way... without all the negative aspects of those traditional networking organizations that try to own their members and their time.

The founders understood that in order to survive beyond conception, the group should have no preset notions of itself other than to be business friendly. So, at the very first lunch meeting in October 2005, every person in attendance actually voted... on how to vote... on how to set up the meeting! This allowed the members to fairly and democratically implement the 'business first' networking structure that is closely adhered to by the benevolent leaders who run the FreeNI meetings today.

If you were invited to take a look at FreeNI, someone out there truly cares about your business.
