Vadim Zhernovoy

looking to organize a camp something more in east europe:)

markupninjas

Question, I'm from dallas and am looking to fly in to this, what airport do I use to check out prices and such? Haha, I'd love to come, but Travelocity has no idea where Santa Cruz, CA or airports near it is, and I don't know enough about CA to give it any ammo.

Thanks,
Ken

shane.pearlman

hey ken - closes airport is "San Jose, CA" which is 25 minutes away. If southwest flys through your airports, san jose is their hub and has cheap flights

alternately - you could hit up oakland (1.5 hrs away) or san francisco (1.2 hrs away).

The fourth rule of BarCamp is: "Only three word intros." What does that mean? Intro to what? When? By whom? Does it come down to, "I am (firstname)"?

design_junkie

Sounds like fun!!

shane.pearlman

Hey Frances - I have no clue. Doesn't leave to many other options does it. "Purple spotted baboon" or "starving patient artist" does come to mind though.

lizeedee

Looking forward to this event with trepidation..l'm a bit on the shy side. . ...

shane.pearlman

Lizeedee - thats awesome you are stepping out. I know quite a number of the people coming and I can't imagine a better group.

This is the first time I am working up the courage to lead a session and speak in public. So it will be a growing experience for both of us.

KiwiStudios

I was hoping something like this would come along and, even though it's on my birthday weekend, I'll be there!

Cat Johnson

Looking forward to meeting more creatives!

Emanuel Barros

I'm repeating the concurring sentiment here, but I am excited about attending. See you all there!

slickted

I look forward to this! There will be three of us there from the studio. I can't wait to meet more people, and contribute as much as possible. See you all there!

wormlips

Ack ... I'm trying to sign up but I can't see how to do it. Should I be seeing a link on this page or the event's site? Hellllp.

juliav

I've signed in with my yahoo account, but I don't see a way to sign up either- perhaps the event is closed? I've added it to my calendar anyway.

Is there a way to be notified if the event is in fact not yet closed?

shane.pearlman

quite simple - login with your yahoo id.

The in to the top right of the page click on the gray I'm going button and that's it.

LaughingRaven

Yay!! I totally just signed up!
