The Leaf Library
Formed from the ashes of Peel favourites Saloon, The Leaf Library play dreamy, atmospheric indiepop in the vein of Broadcast and Young Marble Giants. "Downbeat, come-in-from-the-cold, warm your hands pop" - Kitten Painting

The Understudies
Long overdue return to Jamm for HDIF favourites The Understudies, here to celebrate the release of their new EP on Oddbox. Fans of Tindersticks, Morrissey, Suede, The Auteurs and Butcher Boy, step this way.

Effort
Like Shrag (or the Sussex Heights Roving Artists Group to give them their full name), Effort are named after an arts collective, namely London's DIY arts initiative The Effort. And like Shrag, Effort whip up a fearsome racket, although in this case influenced by Pixies, Helen Shapiro, Television and PJ Harvey. Play the video on their myspace to experience their ramshackle, eccentric brilliance.

Tiger & Panda
Originally from Bristol but now relocated to London, three piece Tiger & Panda play warm-hearted indie folk that sounds like it could be on Bristol's celebrated Stitch Stitch label. Last month Owl + Mouse played a mesmerising set in this opening slot. Can Tiger & Panda beat Owl + Mouse? And who can we book for this slot next time??
