Free Showing of “The Tale of Despereaux” Easter Celebration at North Riverside Mall Theatre March 16, 2013

North Riverside, IL – The North Riverside Mall Theatre, as a part of their Easter celebration, will hold a FREE screening of “The Tale of Despereaux”. This kid’s favorite is sponsored by the North Riverside Park Mall, and will show on Saturday, March 16th, at 10:30am, at 7501 West Cermak Road in North Riverside. Rated G and with a run time of 94 minutes, this morning showing is appropriate for little ones of all ages, and will delight all movie goers.

There will be an Easter party “Bunny Fest” beginning at 8:30am in the North Riverside Park Mall food court, hosted by Mickey and Minnie Mouse. There will be face painting, an appearance by the Easter Bunny, music, games, prizes and more. The “Bunny Fest” is free for all Kids Club members; come have some fun before the free showing of “The Tale of Despereaux!”

Adapted from the Newbery Medal-winning children’s book by Kate DiCamillo, “The Tale of Despereaux” (2008) follows the adventures of a small mouse with big dreams. In the faraway kingdom of Dor, a tiny mouse with big ears named Despereaux is born to change his world. With the help of a rat named Roscuro, Despereaux challenges the odds to save a princess and the kingdom. Voiced by a star-studded cast including Matthew Broderick, Emma Watson, and Dustin Hoffman, “The Tale of Despereaux” is a visually stunning, action-packed romp that’s sure to entertain and excite any audience!
