Free Exterior Latex Paint Available to Broward County Residents.
Broward County's Household Hazardous Waste Collection Program will conduct a free exterior latex paint give-away from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 26, while supplies last, at the North Trash Transfer Station, 2780 N. Powerline Road, Pompano Beach. The give-away is for Broward County residents only and proof of residency, such as a valid driver's license or utility bill, is required.

There is a limit of 20 gallons per household (paint is distributed in 5-gallon containers). The paint is re-blended latex paint that has been recycled from paints dropped off at Household Hazardous Waste locations by Broward County residents. Paint is available in four colors: beige, terra-cotta, grey and turquoise. Residents are responsible for checking their municipality's and homeowner's association's paint color restriction ordinances prior to painting their homes.

For more information about Broward County's free paint program, call (954) 765-4999. Hearing- and speech-impaired individuals should call (954) 765-4207 (TTY).
