The second FREE concert of the Eastman Computer Music Center's 25th Anniversary Concert Series takes place in at 8:00 pm in Kilbourn Hall at the Eastman School of Music (26 Gibbs St., Rochester, NY). The concert features Perry Cook, Princeton professor of music and computer science and president of the International Computer Music Association. As a leading researcher in several areas, including the development of digital performance instruments and instrument controllers, music cognition, and sound synthesis techniques, he will address the audience in a special presentation followed by a performance his latest work.

Other guests include composer Nicolas Scherzinger, chair of the Composition Department at Syracuse University; composer Kevin Ernste, director of the Electroacoustic Music Center at Cornell University; composer and prcussionist Patrick Long, faculty member and director of the electroacoustic music program at Susquehanna University and an active concert soloist and alternative rock musician; Randall Hall, alto saxophone virtuoso; and Jason Price, trumpet virtuoso.

This cutting-edge electroacoustic concert will include 5 interactive works using the PureData and MaxMSP applications as well as a more "traditional" work by legendary Karlheinz Stockhausen.
