Our goal is to place unwanted books with people who want them!!

So come see The Bay Area Free Book Exchange and pick out your free books! We currently have thousands on our shelves and all are free. We are like a library but there is no need for a library card and there is no need to return the book. You get to keep the books!!

How does this work? Who pays for the books? This is a Co-OP run by book dealers who sell books on-line and on the phone. However, there are so many books left over that they do not wish to or can't sell everything the get it in. So, the Bay Area Book Exchange was created to give away these unsold books! To assist in keeping the Bay Area Free Book Exchange as a going concern, you can bring books that you're no longer using. We'll keep some to sell and put the rest out on the shelves of the Bay Area Free Book Exchange. For all books given to us, we are grateful but it is not required.
