ART! TEAMWORK! FUN!

Give your middle schooler the gift of first-class arts mentorship! Help them to discover their confidence and creativity! Your student will receive one-on-one mentorship from a California College of the Arts student, as well as instruction from Professor Virginia Jardim, a brilliant artist educator.

Classes run from 3-5:30pm every Wednesday in February and March. Continuing programs are available until summer, teaching gardening as well as art! Places go to the first 20 applicants. You must sign up before January 20th to secure your spot! Contact Peralta Hacienda: 532-9142 or [email protected].

Students will learn video arts, drawing, painting, and animation! They will work collaboratively to produce an exciting final project for families, teachers, and community members to see.

Peralta Hacienda is the birthplace of Oakland! Students will discover the rich history of their city, while exploring their own part in the story.

The program is FREE for Oakland middle school students, from 10-14 years of age. Contact Ben with any questions!
