This cult favorite tells the story of a trapeze artist and circus strongman who plot to have her marry and kill a midget for his inheritance. But something goes horribly awry. Director Tod Browning recruited real sideshow "freaks" as actors, and the film's memorable climax is shocking and confounding even by today's standards.
