This exhibition features a collection of forty portraits of Romare Bearden by photographer Frank Stewart. Stewart, a close friend of Bearden, traveled with him throughout the United States and the Caribbean from 1977 to 1988.The resulting body of work captures many poignant moments of Bearden's public and private life, illuminating the work he created during the most prolific period of his career.
