"FourSquared" curators Matthew J. Frederick & Michael Yochum invited 16 local San Francisco Bay Area artists to create a series of 16 small works that reflect their artistic visions. "FourSquared" showcases all 16 pieces by each artist - a total of 196 works.

The "FourSquared" artists are: Brett Amory, Blair Bradshaw, Mitchell Confer, Sidnea D'Amico, Rebecca Fox, Ivy Jacobsen, Denise Laws, Michael McConnell, Brian McDonald, Molly Meng, Silvia Poloto, Kristina Quinones, Fernando Reyes, Monika Steiner, Marcia Stuermer and Sandra Yagi.

In addition to the opening reception, the "FourSquared" exhibition is open on Saturdays from 10AM - 3PM, & by appointment.

In 2009, the co-curators, along with artist-partners, Priscilla Otani and Stephen C. Wagner, founded the ARC Studios and Gallery complex. Matthew Frederick is also a founder of Project Three, an artist collective in the Mission, where he maintains his studio. From 2007-2009, he was a partner in the Reaves Gallery. His unconventional landscape paintings have been shown in commercial galleries, universities and public exhibitions nationally and his work is numerous prominent collections. He completed his fine art studies at Chico State and Sacramento State Universities. Michael Yochum completed his undergraduate and graduate studies in art history on the East Coast and in Japan. Moving to San Francisco in 1979, he diverted into a career in finance. In 2005, he recharged his long-standing interest in local art and artists, volunteering with ArtSpan, the Bay Area artist-member organization that produces SF Open Studios and brings art to under-served SF elementary schools with its Art for City Youth program. He is currently the Chairman of that organization. "FourSquared" reflects the curators' abiding passion for local, affordable art and includes some of the area's most talented artists.
