Former Packers' Safety LeRoy Butler - 1st Annual Russ Young Awards Banquet April 2, 2009

On Thursday, April 2, 2009 we will be celebrating the success of one of our former coaches, Russ Young. The evening will start with a ribbon cutting ceremony of the Russ Young Football Complex at J.J. Keller Field at Titan Stadium at 4:30pm. Following the ribbon cutting there will be a dedication banquet, to be held at Reeve Memorial Union in the ball room (room 227), social hour to begin at 5:30pm with dinner at 6:30pm. The guest speaker for the evening is former Green Bay Packer, LeRoy Butler. We will also have players and coaches from the Russ Young era reflect on their time with Coach Young. The evening will also include the inaugural presentation of the Russ Young Leadership & Achievement Award to be presented to a former UW Oshkosh football player or coach who has demonstrated the ideals of Russ Young’s legacy through their record of accomplishments in their career or cause, community involvement, moral character, and positive contributions to the world of sports.
