This exhibit explores the birth of the Shakespeare market from Jane Austen’s England with paintings and engravings from the fashionable Boydell Gallery in London. The exhibit also includes a variety of Shakespeare memorabilia inspired by famous actors of the time and a variety of decorative wares that were sold during the late 18th and early 19th centuries. On view September 20, 2007-January 5, 2008. Monday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. (new hours); closed federal holidays. Admission is free.
