Join us in a three class session for the fun and enjoyment of creating your own flower arrangements. We'll learn about the materials, mechanics, and conditioning that create lasting beautiful arrangements. Each week will center around a certain concept of arranging beginning with a demonstration and then a chance to do your own arrangement. This is a relaxed class given in the lovely Gamble Garden environment with beautiful common materials and items we normally wouldn't think of using in an arrangement. Here is a chance to let your own personality shine and also to get a head start thinking and creating arrangements for the holidays. Learn how Carmen and Kathy use diverse materials to create their special look, and take home your own creation.

Carmen Pekelsma is the current chair of the Gamble Garden Flower Arrangers. Her love of flower arranging began when her mother took her into the garden when she was a girl and said "Let's pick a bouquet." Her mother emphasized a bouquet may be branches, just foliage, or all flowers. She was Carmen's first teacher. Carmen has arranged for many events, including weddings, but now finds her greatest flower arranging joy is at Gamble Garden.

Kathy Ladra is a past President of Gamble Garden and has been a flower arranger for over 18 years. She has been working with Carmen for many years teaching flower arranging at Gamble Garden. She has given many classes and demonstrations on wreath making as well. She has won awards for her arrangements which are always interesting and eye catching for their combination of unique materials and vibrant color design.
