Mojácar Flamenco Concert JUNE 10th at The COFFEE GALLERY BACKSTAGE

Join award winning Mojácar Flamenco for a special concert on Friday, June 10th at the eclectic, electric Coffee Gallery Backstage.

Performers include guitar virtuoso Stephen Dick, brilliant dancer and singer Katerina Tomás "La Fuerza", and special guest artist flamenco dancer Wendy Marin "La Saharah." The show features beautiful flamenco puro from the caves of Granada and the streets of Jerez de la Frontera, Spain, including Tientos, Soleares por bulerías, Tangos Gitanos and Bulerías, and original works from the Flamenco/Latin/Jazz fusion repertoire of Mojácar Flamenco.

Eight time recipients of the Spanish Ministry of Culture grant for excellence in the field of flamenco, Katerina and Stephen also received two L.A. Treasures Awards for their concert, "Cantan los Fuegos - a concert celebrating the music and poetry of Manuel de Falla and Federico García Lorca," and for scholarship and flamenco teaching. The artists have toured throughout the U.S., in Spain and Canada, and have been featured on NPRs Morning Edition, KPFK radio, and on Spanish television in the U.S. and Spain. They are the only American flamenco artists to compete and win at the Sur Jerez Flamenco competition in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain.
