First Friday Lewes is run on a voluntary basis by Robin Houghton of enewsworks. As someone who recognised the value of business networking, Robin was looking for a networking group in her home town which didn't involve large fees, sit down meals or heavy commitments. When she came across Steve Wilson's First Friday Network, she felt it was a model that could work well in Lewes, and set about starting it up.

The first meeting was held in Lewes on Friday 4th May 2007 and over 40 people attended.
