Finishing Touches, A Holiday Tour of Fine Homes is an exciting new fundraiser benefiting the local projects of the Junior League of Palo Alto*Mid Peninsula (JLPA*MP). The event will be held December 6th and 7th, 2008 and showcase four lovely homes in the West Atherton area. These homes are not generally open to the public.

As the name suggests, these homes will be elegantly embellished for the holidays by retail and design partners supporting the event including Smith and Hawken, Neiman Marcus, and Williams-Sonoma Home. Tour hours are 10am-4pm on Saturday, with the last shuttle departing at 2 pm, and 10am-2pm Sunday, with the last shuttle departing at noon.

The event will also include a Marketplace and exciting raffles The Marketplace, located at Sacred Heart Schools on Valparaiso Ave., which is also the shuttle departure point, features vendors including Melanie's Fine Foods - delicious sauces and food related gift items perfect for the Holidays - and Baby Jak, purveyor of snuggly blankets, perfect for cold winter nights. Raffle prizes include a ten-foot, fully decorated holiday tree, set up in the winners' home, from Neiman Marcus and elegant bedding ensembles from Frette - just to name a few!

Tickets may be purchased in advance on line at finishingtoucheshometour.com, at The Shop in Menlo Park, or at Smith & Hawken in Stanford Shopping Center and downtown Burlingame. Ticket prices will be $50 the weekend of the tour, and space is limited. No children under 12.
