Set in the surreal, dune-filled landscape of an East Javan beach, this visually stunning film stars one of Indonesia's most acclaimed actresses, Christine Hakim. On the run from political violence, she sells traditional medicines while her young daughter dreams of her lost father - but their precarious peace is disturbed when he finally returns.
