Field of Light October 22, 2008

To celebrate the collective value of Birmingham’s public spaces, Type is working with Plus and Illuminate to create a ‘Field of Light’, available to everyone regardless of social, cultural, religious or economic backgrounds; irrespective of age, mobility and disability; and notwithstanding geographic location. The Field of Light will provide visitors with a peaceful communal space in Millennium Point, which will be fully interactive and wholly in their control. The public can engage with and manipulate the Field from anywhere in the world through access to a bespoke website that will give them control of their own illuminated public urban space.
