The Williamsburg Regional Library's second annual Festival of the Reader concludes when Nikki Turner, hip-hop fiction writer will present her ghetto glamour tales of the city.

Nikki Turner's hip-hop fiction won her a number one spot on the "Essence" bestseller list. Her early writing career was self-promoted, but she gained greater popularity with small publishing houses and moved up to Random House on the strength of previous titles like "A Hustler's Wife," "A Project Chick" and "Tales From da Hood." She's also become a teacher and mentor to rising young writers, helping to get them exposure. Her newest work, "Riding Dirty on I-95," is set in her hometown of Richmond. Turner's April 26 visit to the Williamsburg Library Theatre marks the beginning of her promotional tour for this title.
